My Regional Experience
I have lived and worked in rural Western Australia for more than 26 years and deeply understand the unique challenges and opportunities facing regional and remote communities.
As a founding board member of GNP360 Cooperative, I helped transform a small local initiative into one of WA’s most successful community-led partnerships. Under my strategic leadership, the Cooperative has delivered nationally recognised projects in health, tourism, business, and infrastructure, positioning Gnowangerup as a flagship example of rural resilience and collaboration.
With 27 years as a teacher of the Performing Arts with experience in writing policy and managing people, I bring creativity, structure, and people-centred thinking into every project. I have presented at major national forums including the Rising Regions Summit at Parliament House, Canberra, the Small Town Reinvention Conference in the Barossa Valley, and the WA Impact Economy Forum, where I shared grounded lessons on unlocking capital, building service models that work in regional settings, and enabling policy that supports local impact.
My governance and leadership experience spans multi-million-dollar precinct projects, major grant applications, and complex partnerships—all grounded in place-based community action.

My Why
At the heart of my work is a belief in the power of cooperation, creativity, and community ownership.
I do this work because I want rural WA to be more than just sustainable—I want it to be vibrant, innovative, and resilient. I’ve seen firsthand how communities can turn setbacks into opportunities: from reviving a supermarket through cooperative ownership, to repurposing heritage buildings into health hubs, to designing precincts that will serve generations to come.
I thrive on public speaking and community engagement, bringing the energy of a performing arts teacher to every presentation. My style is dynamic, people-focused, and designed to make complex challenges easier to understand—and easier to solve.
This is not about “feel-good” stories. It’s about systems change through grit, strategy, and community leadership. My passion is helping others see what’s possible, connect with the right partners, and build projects that create long-lasting impact for regional and remote communities.
